OMG GOP WTF? - Bleeeeaaaaaggghhh!

This is just wrong. Filth and dirt. They are a wild bunch over at Crooks and Liars. It is going to take me days to get this out of my mind. -------------->

Speaking of filth and dirt, another Republican Governor is in big trouble with the Feds.

When the Suits and Corpos say "clean up," I try to picture a place to put this coal ash poison where it would not be dirty. Is there a giant trashcan in the sky somewhere?

It is the same old story: privatize the profits and socialize the pollution and the costs. Clean coal my sweet petunia. All utilities must be socialized. Total public ownership and strict regulation is what we must work for politically. Otherwise these pirates are going to kill us all.

Feds launch criminal probe of NC agency after coal ash spill

ablythe@newsobserver.comFebruary 13, 2014

The U.S. Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation into the state environmental agency tasked with regulating Duke Energy after a coal ash spill left the Dan River so polluted that people were advised to avoid contact with the water.
The probe, environmentalists say, might also open a window into the relationship that state regulators have with the country’s largest electricity provider, a company that also was a 28-year employer of Gov. Pat McCrory.

A vortex of coal ash swirls in the gray waters of the Dan River at Danville, Va., downstream from the Duke Energy Steam Station in Eden. Duke Energy said Tuesday that an estimated 50,000 to 82,000 tons of coal ash and water was released from a pond at its retired power plant in Eden into the Dan River.
