Political Sign of the Month - UPDATE - ALAN GRAYSON RETURNS!

UPDATE:
This is an old post (2013) that now contains good news. Alan is back and running for Marco Rubio's Senate seat.

The poster below is from his opposition. I think calling Grayson 'nasty' seems a silly and weak response from Republicans given the reign of Trump. I think Alan Grayson scares Republicans. I like that in a Senator. Grayson named "most effective legislator" by Slate Magazine.

I heart you, Alan Grayson. I want you to have my babies. Here are a couple of Alan Grayson's Greatest Hits. You choose - stupid sanctimonious suckup Marco Rubio or a speak truth to power mensch like Alan Grayson. Take your choice, Florida.

One of Alan Grayson's Bill Amendments:

Petition: "I don't want the Government looking at my e-mails, my telephone records, my website records, or my GPS records. I cherish my freedom and my privacy. I am not a terrorist, and I won't let my government treat me like one. Therefore, I support Congressman Alan Grayson's 'Mind Your Own Business Act.'"

AMENDMENT TO THE RULES COMMITTEE PRINT

OF H.R. 1960
OFFERED BY MR. GRAYSON OF FLORIDA

FANghazi ! - Update

Skeletor rides again. I know PROGRESSIVES will whine now and call me looksist. Up their giggy. Implying Governor Rick Scott of Florida is a monster is right on point. See the article below. I think this would make a fabulous Halloween costume.

Better yet. Read the article in its entirety at the provided link. Then ask yourself:
Self - is this the kind of medical mind we want to have in charge of public health in the time of Ebola and antibiotic resistant Tuberculosis? And now Zika?
Essentially, Scott created a incurable virulent public disease vector to save money? So, how good is he on Zika? No good. Scott is offering Zika kits, we are told. Funny thing is, nobody knows where the kits are or how to get one.

I have been thinking and reading for awhile about this subject. If you feel like it, Cher Reader, kindly leave a comment and tell me what your Self thinks. I get lonely in the kitchen.

Despite a warning from the Centers for Disease Control, it's the latest move by the Florida governor to gut public services.

Florida Asshat on Parade - Was Cara right that Ricky is an asshole?

Rick Scott met one of his constituents in a coffee shop. She tried to talk to him, got frustrated and called him an asshole.

Here is part of what she did:

Here is what Rick Scott did in retaliation.

Here is why she did it:

A Vast Wasteland May Be Soon Upon Us

UPDATE: I wrote the original essay below in October 2013. I so hate to be right.

Antibiotic resistance now 'global threat', WHO warns
By Pippa Stephens

We need the Affordable Care Act. Why is the government shut down to prevent us from having health care? I have nothing funny, happy or partisan to say about this debacle. I say this:
CDC Threat Report: ‘We Will Soon Be in a Post-Antibiotic Era’
    The agency’s overall — and, it stressed, conservative — assessment of the problem:
  • Each year, in the U.S., 2,049,442 illnesses caused by bacteria and fungi that are resistant to at least some classes of antibiotics;
  • Each year, out of those illnesses, 23,000 deaths;
  • Because of those illnesses and deaths, $20 billion each year in additional healthcare spending;
  • And beyond the direct healthcare costs, an additional $35 billion lost to society in foregone productivity.
“If we are not careful, we will soon be in a post-antibiotic era,” Dr. Tom Frieden, the CDC’s director, said in a media briefing. “And for some patients and for some microbes, we are already there.”
WPA Poster

We are in bad shape. We are 37th in health care outcomes among all the nations. And we pay the most for health care. That is bad, it is true. It is worse than folks think. Some Governors are resisting the ACA. Their solutions to these serious disease issues are, for example:
1. Defund women's health clinics which diagnose and treat men and women for STDs;
2. Close the only public tuberculosis hospital in the state and house the contagious patients in an old motel in a large city.

This creates active disease vectors in major population areas. These diseases will bubble upward from the poor, who cannot get medical treatment, to the rich and privileged. Disease is no respecter of gated communities, security guards, or wealth. Everyone has heard of Typhoid Mary, right? As ye sow, so shall ye reap. Do we really want to go back to 1940s? Those who do not remember and learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Boys with Toys in Tampa

Welcome to Tampa and the Republican Convention

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/08/28/1125327/-Dear-GOP-You-re-kinda-kinky-I-get-it
 I comfort my SeIf with the thought that:
IT IS ALL JUST OPERA

I do not wonder what the sex workers are doing right about now in Tampa. I know that "Republican kink" is not a fantasy. It is an understatement. Think of the way they have been mentally raping women for months now. Translate that mindset into amorous expertise across the Bell Curve. It will be a hot time in the old town tonight. Shudder.

Please note: Those who object to my attitude toward Law Enforcement (da PoPo, Sexpigs etc.) will understand me better if they go to this Website.
